[HELP] ON LINK CONNECT

Kevin Apr 12, 2017 09:53PM EDT

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have a trouble with on link connect. My system paired with on link connect and work OK and can control devices over internet about 1 week. Next week, my system can't control devices over internet.

Could you please advise me how to solve this trouble ?

Thank you & Best regards

Kevin Le

Hi Kevin,

When you cannot connect to your system remotely, can you check if the OnLink Connect is still shown as a device connected to your network? You can typically find it by doing a network scan or going to the router settings and seeing all connected clients.

Dear Alex,

I checked OnLink Connect. It's still online on my network (I used "On Controls-Helper.exe" to scan and saw it)
My OnLink Connect was paired with 3 devices. These devices already paired with OnLink COnnect and they can control OK on local network but they can't control on internet (global network)

Thank you for your help !

Hi Kevin,

Can you confirm also that you are checking the connection of your devices through the Connect without being on the Local network?

I'm thinking you can and should try updating the Connect in the Device Settings panel.

Best,

Matt

Dear Matt,

I'll check and try updating again.

P/S : I'm setting OnLink Connect in static IP. Do you think that make trouble ?

Thank you for your help !

Kevin,

You shouldn't have any trouble even with a static IP address for the Connect. Perhaps, try restarting your device (can also de bone in device settings) after confirming that the IP address is the correct address.

Matt

Dear Matt,

I change OnLink Connect to dynamic IP.I restart OnLink. Then I click the 'Test Connectivity' button to test the connection to the remote server and the result is "connection is good". The devices still pair with OnLink.
But my system can't control on internet or 3G, it only can control on local network.

Thank you for your support !

Kevin,

Have you tried unpairing the Connect it and pairing it again? If so, it might be worth doing a factory reset on it and starting over. We can only determine from this point that the unit is defective and we can replace it.

Best,

Matt

Dear Matt,

I did follow this steps :
1. Unpair all the devices.
2. Reset factory OnLink.
3. 'Test Connectivity' is good.
4. Pair again all devices (on local network).
The system can control on local network, but can't control on 3G.
I'll turn back this OnLink to you and test with another OnLink (my new OnLink).

Thank you so much for your support !
