Yamaha AVR - IP control

Paul Chanin May 10, 2017 03:14AM EDT

I am integrating a Yamaha RXA 1080 into the system and want to control via IP.

I have added a Network Gateway to my program but cannot find what Port to use.

I have enabled wake on LAN in the AVR settings

I have tried using the following devices from the On Controls Device List:

Yamaha RX-A and RX-V Series TCP/RS232 & Yamaha AVR HTTP Control - Zone 1

I can control the AVR using the Yamaha AV Controller App so i know it is available on the network and accepts control commands.

Many thanks for any help getting this to work.

For "Yamaha AVR HTTP Control - Zone 1" driver it is HTTP GATEWAY with PORT 80 and METHOD=POST

For "Yamaha RX-A and RX-V Series TCP/RS232" it is a NETWORK GATEWAY with port 50000. You also need to send keep alive command (part of device driver) every 45 seconds because Yamaha terminates the connection.
